Listening Bar: Soundtracks at Filmwerkstatt

A Night at the Filmwerkstatt

Set within the Filmwerkstatt, a space deeply rooted in Düsseldorf’s independent film and art scene, the Listening Bar became a temporary audio-cinema where guests could sit back, relax, and immerse themselves in the carefully curated sounds of the evening. The venue’s cozy, dimly lit setting provided the perfect escape from the outside world, inviting visitors to enjoy a drink, sink into the easy atmosphere, and let the music unfold like scenes from an unseen film.

The intimate bar area encouraged quiet conversation and shared musical appreciation, while the warm glow of ambient lighting added to the cinematic feel of the night. Whether seated with friends or simply absorbing the music alone, every guest had the chance to experience sound in a way that felt both immersive and reflective—a fusion of film culture and deep listening. ML opened the night with a hypnotic mix of deep ambient textures, nostalgic library music, and cinematic synth waves, setting the perfect mood for immersive listening.

Grinsta followed with an eclectic selection of jazzy film scores, eerie synth-driven themes, and moody soundscapes, seamlessly blending classic and obscure cinematic sounds.

MAENDI closed the evening with a refined and emotional selection of orchestral pieces, experimental film compositions, and atmospheric soundtracks, leaving the audience in a cinematic trance.
