Back at Open Ground!
It's been a year since our last night at Open Ground, so it's definitely time for the third round of Annex. As always, with a stunning line-up on Freifeld featuring Josey Rebelle, The Advent & Terrance Dixon with a live set!
Alongside the regular radio programme, events have always been an integral part of the association. Collaborations with festivals, clubs, museums and concert halls provide an opportunity to give the radio’s hosts a platform outside the studio. The focus is always on connecting artists from the various locations and organising events together. On 13 June, the radio station remains true to this vision: for the Annex Floor at Open Ground, two residents from the Düsseldorf and Leipzig locations have been invited alongside a guest:
Brennan, co-founder of Dubble Records, is currently attracting a lot of attention. With his distinctive sound, characterised by rolling, percussive and dub-influenced elements, he is establishing himself as a key figure on the scene. Backed by artists such as Enzo Siragusa and Gene on Earth, his fanbase is growing steadily.
As a DJ, he impresses with his versatility, combining deep basslines with hypnotic rhythms that keep the dancefloor constantly moving. At the same time, he has also made a name for himself in the studio and is regarded as an exceptionally precise producer.
Miss Take, originally from East Germany and now based in Leipzig, began her DJing journey by making mixtapes for friends.
Her sound combines deep basslines, dubby elements and broken rhythms, underpinned by playful vocals and intuitive energy.
Moving freely between genres, she navigates the space between New Age, Wave and bass-heavy club sounds. For her, atmosphere matters more than categories – her sets blend various influences into a fluid whole, in which movement and emotion are closely intertwined.
Grinta’s musical journey began with dubstep and was shaped by memorable nights at venues such as Salon des Amateurs, Golzheim and RBC. His work with Callshop Radio has further broadened his musical horizons. In the process, he developed a deep appreciation for music that truly comes into its own in the dim light and on bass-heavy sound systems.
