The sound art festival Soundcinema creates an acoustic heterotopia in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Düsseldorf's Bahnhofsviertel: a darkened sound space in the foyer of the FFT that largely dispenses with visual stimuli and invites you to concentrate entirely on listening.
Inspired by acousmatic space-sound environments, the festival presents 10 audio productions in multichannel and stereo format, which are then awarded prizes by a jury of experts and the audience.
